Mom Suing Children For Inheritance

This is a story about Will writing I came across online. London millionaire, Mark Butler, died of cancer in 2007, without having a valid Will written. His widow, actress Taryn Dielle, the children’s mother, is suing her own children aged one and three for a share of their fortune! Mark left behind an estate worth about £2,231,201.

Dying without a valid Will meant most of his estate will go to his two children. Taryn will only receive the statutory legacy and £50,000.00 a year in interest from her late husband’s estate! Ms. Dielle has had to issue High Court proceedings to gain control of the inheritance.

This sounds incredible but this lawsuit emerged as a result of a failing to write a Will. Although you might think she is fighting against them for the estate, the truth is, she is trying to protect them and their interests.

It is interesting to note that Mr Butler, was one of three children to former High Court judge Sir Gerald Butler QC. You might think that with a parent in the legal profession, having a Will written is something you’ll ought to do but alas, it is usually not the case.ass
